Star of TV series Gossip Girl Leighton Meester aka Blair Waldorf walked the runway of Penshoppe’s “Impact” fashion show for the Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2012 Saturday night at the SMX Convention Center in SM Mall of Asia.
The surprise of the night was the appearance of Thai matinee idol Mario Maurer, who accompanied and welcomed Leighton as “the new muse of Penshoppe All-Stars”.

Phillip Phillips made it!
He is such an amazing performer, I will not compare him to Jessica Sanchez because I might become a “Kontrabida” (“Villain” in English) to all the avid fans of Jessica, if I’m gonna say he’s way better than her.
I am also one of Jessica’s supporters for she is a half Filipina (say “Kababayan”), but then again didn’t mean that she’s my fave all throughout the competition. She had her winning, shinning, glorious moments, but there also some not so good performances so as Phillip Phillips. But then again I thought that there is still room for her to grow, and besides she’s only 16 definitely a lot more to come for her in the future. (Just like Taylor Swift who started at 16 and way up she goes now as the “Woman of the year” for the Billboard Music Awards)
As I could recall Morrie says (on Tuesday’s with Morrie) ;
“What’s wrong with being number 2?”

Hey, there’s more events other than the Cannes!
I’ll skip the lengthy list of winners, and move on to the fashionable looks of the celebrities/artists that night.
These are not my faves but they caught my attention.
-Katy Perry in a lovely lavender backless gown by Blumarine that matches her violet curls.
-Usher wore cerulean blue suite and denim shirt and grey oxfords.
-Natasha Bedingfield in a mint green jewel embellished gown.

For day 3 of Cannes Film Festival, I loved these 3!
Naomi Watts in Marchesa, Diane Kruger wore Jason Wu, and Salma Hayek in a sequinned Gucci.
It’s the sheer and dramatic effects. ;)

Again, for the second time I was captivated by Eva Longaria’s looks. The sheer dress, and the Alberta Ferretti gown.
Loving the white V-neck ensemble with chain-link underlay by Paco Rabanne as well as the peplum-detailed waists in this citrus-hued gown by Atelier Versace.

Eva Longoria wore a feathery gown by Marchesa for red carpet and for the post- red carpet dinner she changed into Alberta Ferretti.
Tilda Swinton picked a structured gown by Haider Ackerman, then later changed into a tailored look for an androgynous feel. (Somehow reminds me of Kara Laricks in this look)
The official poster of the festival features Marilyn Monroe, to mark the 50th anniversary of her death.
